Event & Dance Videography

This is probably the coolest project I've worked on to date, almost fresh out of high school. Anyone who's spent a winter near me knows that I'm absolutely obsessed with The Nutcracker (I try to see as many productions of it as possible each year!) and that obsession is largely due to the many years I spent watching, and then filming, Centennial State Ballet's annual Nutcracker. Because of COVID restrictions, CSB was unable to perform to an audience in the theatre as usual. In the spirit of "the show must go on", they commissioned LiviFilm, the videography company I created with my father, to shoot and edit a film version of their Nutcracker, complete with themed masks! This shoot involved a slew of local musicians, many beautiful locations (including a French-style cheese shop and a house that was built in the same year that the very first Nutcracker was performed!) and a LOT of creative editing to work around limits on social distancing. For this project, I served as an editor, videographer, and photographer.
